26th European Congress on Obesity (ECO) 2019-Glasgow
I was recently at the 26th European Congress on Obesity (ECO) in Glasgow. One of the over-arching messages throughout the conference thus far has been "the need to use people-first language". This is in line with the RACGP position statement on the prevention and management of obesity, released in February 2019.
National Obesity Summit - 15 February 2019
As you may be aware, Senator Hon Bridget McKenzie called for this Obesity Summit, which was held in Canberra on the 15 February, 2019.
It was a great opportunity for The RACGP, and my talk was well received. My brief was "What are GPs doing well, and future opportunities".
