Dr. Rigas was recognised as a SCOPE certified Obesity doctor in 2015, by the World Obesity Federation. She was also Australia's first internationally recognised GP Bariatric Care Specialist (as awarded by the American Surgical Review Corporation in 2018). With over 15 years of clinical experience in managing people living with pre-obesity (overweight) or obesity and it's associated health consequences, she brings a holistic and empathic approach to patient care.

Dr Rigas brings a holistic approach to the management of obesity and it's associated health complications including, but not limited to, metabolic syndrome including pre-diabetes/ insulin resistance, PCOS - associated fertility challenges, menopausal body composition and metabolic changes. Above all, she understands that regardless of which treatment modality/ies is/are implemented, what is required is an ongoing partnership with you in the driver's seat, and aligned communication between all healthcare professionals involved in your health improvement journey.
